Play a putt like pro
If you like golf and want to be good as professionals then one of the good things you should do is to learn from professionals themselves. There were times when I watched a lot of golf games and follow the steps of all famous faces. This did pay me off with some very good tips that I have learnt from them. You should not only learn from one players but the more players you follow and learn from the more tips you may get. Tiger Wood is great, but he can only gives you some tips on some shots.
For example, if you want to play good putts, you have to learn from Jordan Spieth. He is not as famous as Tiger Wood but he has some of the best Putt in the world and the techniques he used in his putt are worth for you to learn from. Below is the tips I learnt from him and would like to share with you.
When I watched Jordan did some of his short putts, I notice one strange thing about it. He did not look at this ball during the hit but instead, he looked at the hole. He just hit the ball like that and most of the time, he could manage to hit the ball right into the holes. What an incredible technique for an amateurs and some may question that how can one person not look at this ball and can still hit it to the hole. This may sound strange but it is not strange at all, actually. Like basketball players when they hit the baskets.
His legend putts and lessons for us
Most of them do not look at the ball but at the basket. Thinking this way and you will see how this goes for golfers. You can definitely hit the ball without looking at it but you have to look at the holes. The longer you practise and play this sport, the better you can feel and make assumption about your hits.
Knowing this and practising this are two different definitions. It may be very weird at first when you practise because most of us are used to taking control of the ball and where it goes. Not looking at the ball and do not know where it is going is a very hard thing to do at first. But once you get used to that, you will find that most of your putts will go straight to the holes and you do not even have to look at the ball. Keep practising this techniques and you will find that you can do as good as other professionals. You may laugh but I bet Tiger Wood does not know this technique because his putts are never good ones.
Again, learning from others is always a good way for you to improve your golf playing skills. You can learn from everyone, you fellow players or other professionals. There is nothing better than staying lazy in your living room in a rainy weekend and enjoy one of the golf games and still learn to improve your skills.
