Golf and personal life – ways to keep balance

February 11, 2016

There are millions of people playing golf all over the world but how many of them are playing golf as their career? The answer is not many because most of them are playing golf as an hobby which they do when they have free time. Golf is a sport and this means if you want to play it well you have to do a lot of practice in consistency. Any interruption may lead you to nowhere and you will give up on the game soon than you may expect. On the other hand, you still have millions things to do a day and many of them are urgent and important both to your career and your personal life.

When you are in this situation, you may feel confused on how to get the balance between your hobby and your work. This is especially difficult when you want to keep them all at their best situation and you do not want to ruin any of them. There are still ways to you to steal some time for your hobby and still complete all other tasks.

Golf and work

Rule number one: do not fight with it, you have to follow it

If you are busy with all the housework and the picking up of your children then you may not find a time to practise your swing. In this case, what you can do is not to feel angry and frustrated about this but to follow it. If it is summer, you can wake up early in the morning and do some practise before it is time to get back to your daily work and take your children to school. This is not only good for your health but also may you stay away from the angry. If your children are old enough to start some golf games on their own then you can take them out to the golf field with you. This is not a bad idea because some places offer free course for children. You can practise your golf skills while building good relationship with your children and also make a good habit of staying active for them. Things have never been this easy for you once you realize that you do not need to fight with everything.

Golf and work

Have a talk to your family

If you love golf, you will be happy when you play it, not to mention other benefits of playing golf such as a better health, fit body etc. On the other hand, if you can play it, you may feel frustrated and angry. This is not what your family wants you to become because they love you and want to see you happy. It might be difficult and you have a lot of things to do out of work. You may find it difficult to talk to your family about this because you think that you are stealing the time from them. However, talking is the only way you should do to make your family understand how much do you love golf and want to stay with it. You can also make a plan for your family to go to the golf course with you and maybe they will like golf like you.

Golf is your hobby and the sport you like but you still have your personal life besides golf and you have to keep them all balance. This is not an easy revolution because first of all you need to be honest to yourselves if you really like golf and want to stay with it. If you do love it and you want to spend a certain time for it out of your own time budget, then you have to be honest to your family as well. They will understand that you also have your own hobby which makes you stay healthy and happy at the same time.
